121 miles of scenic railway running from Swansea to Shrewsbury through the heart of beautiful Wales.
The Heart of Wales Line celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2018 and is recognised as one of the most scenic railways in the country. It stretches for 121 beautiful miles from busy Shrewsbury with it wonderful architecture and history to the coastal city of Swansea in South Wales. The line crosses two impressive viaducts at Cynghordy and Knucklas. You pass through the Welsh Marches, past historic castles and idyllic villages, Victorian spa towns and cross Offa’s Dyke. It’s a beautiful journey with plenty of opportunity to stop and explore.
